The Pocket Toolkit for Traumatic Times. 4”x6”. The kit includes a ten-page screen-printed accordion book packaged with eight tactile collage pieces, dried lavender buds, and a pre-packaged herbal teabag. Pages are illustrated with line drawings of individuals engaging their senses and text outlines the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique - a therapeutic tool used to reconnect to the body.

This piece was developed for installation in Tangled Arts + Disability Gallery’s Small New Universe Gallery, “reflecting on themes of access, utopia, community, and interdependence. The SNUG is created by and for members of the Deaf/Mad/Disability community.” During 2024, limited free copies are available in the SNUG installation at the Tangled Art Gallery library space, 401 Richmond St W, Suite 124, Toronto ON M5V 3A8. “The SNUG is meant to be small, yet may contain infinities.”
